Population ageing is one of the major policy challenges for the decades to come. The 2012 European Year On Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations is an opportunity to better assess our contribution to a society that enables people to remain active while ageing and that benefits from everyone’s potential.

For that purpose, an integrated approach is necessary, allowing housing policy to pay all its tribute to this common goal.  European social housing organizations have long been working to develop “flexible” and accessible homes in order to allow the elderly to live independently in their own homes and keep on participating to the social, cultural and economic life of their communities.

On 28 November, CECODHAS Housing Europe invites you to discuss how social housing can prepare to make the most of this major demographic trend.
