Cohesion and urban policies
The territorial cohesion process is at the heart of Eu agenda. And from CECODHAS HOUSING EUROPE perspective it is impossible to separate individuals from the places and communities they live in. Improving people’s life chances can only be achieved through actions on their living conditions and their communities.
Cohesion policy
CECODHAS HOUSING EUROPE will campaign to make the social housing provider voices be heard in the process of building an effective cohesion territorial policy.
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
The European Regional Development Fund aims to promote economic and social cohesion by correcting the main regional imbalances. As part of the follow up to the European Economic Recovery Plan, the scope of eligibility under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has been extended in order to support energy efficiency interventions in housing throughout Europe.
ESF
As during the previous period, the ESF will finance projects linked to social inclusion by training people to deal with social problems and combating discrimination as well as by improving national, regional and local administration.

Urban regeneration
Urban regeneration represents an opportunity for spacial development as well as for community building, integrating within cohesion process to foster people's life and social development.
Fighting segregation
The question of areas with concentration of deprivation and difficulties, in which new poverty are arising, with the risk of gettoization and social exclusion represent more and more a crucial aspect both for social housing operator and for policy-makers.
Residents empowerment
Involving inhabitants in decision-making and delivery of housing and urban policies helps ensuring long term sustainability by increasing residents’ satis¬faction with services, increasing quality of the homes and surrounding environment, enhancing relationships among neighbours and creating a sense of pride and belonging to the local community.
Anti-social behaviour
In recent years it has become increasingly apparent that social exclusion; brought about by the ghettoised nature of many European social housing developments can give rise to a climate of anti social behavior, thus can be addressed through good housing management, community initiatives and improved security.
European Neighbours’ Day
European Neighbours' Day is an initiative of the European Federation of Local Solidarity (E.F.L.S.) Its objective is to foster community cohesion in Europe, by creating networks for exchanges on neighbourly and community practices.
