The Observatory organised in 2006-2008 a series of colloquia on the future of social housing in Europe, with the aim of bringing practitioners and academics together to reflect on the key challenges for social housing provision in Europe over the coming years.
CECODHAS organised in September 2009 a seminar entitled “Financing social housing after the crisis”, which brought together practitioners and analysts from across Europe. This publication brings together the presentations held at the abovementioned seminar in the form of short articles.
The publication “Urban regeneration in Europe: The place of housing in integrated urban policies“ addresses a third dimension of the ‘future of social housing in the EU’, namely the ‘urban’ dimension. It aims at bringing together the social and economic dimensions while focusing on their effects in concrete places.
The publication “Welfare transformation and demographic change in Europe: Challenges for the social housing sector” contains the full papers of speakers and discussants who participated to the second colloquium on the future of social housing in the EU, organised by the CECODHAS European Social Housing Observatory and held in Barcelona on the 20th of September 2007.
The publication “Current developments in housing policies and housing markets in Europe: implications for the social housing sector” gathers the proceedings from the first colloquium on the future of social housing in the EU, which was held in Brussels in September 2013.
