The Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Property is responsible for physical planning, construction, housing and the implementation of key EU-funded programmes in Croatia. The institution officially became a partner of Housing Europe in September 2020.
At national level in Croatia, housing policy is in the domain of the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets. Our partner has designed several models of the Programme of state-subsidised housing construction (POS Programme) - available to all Croatian citizens, depending on their needs, financial status, age and number of family members. The implementation of the Programme of state-subsidised housing construction is carried out by the State Real Estate Agency (Agencija za pravni promet i posredovanje nekretninama) - www.apn.hr
Today, the country is facing a number of challenges in housing - a constant increase of the cost of land, significant price differences between properties in the coastal area and the rest of the country and only 1.8% of the population benefitting from social rent which makes our collaboration at European level even more important.
