The Union Sociale pour l' Habitat (USH), member of CECODHAS Housing Europe presents within the framework of Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 in Versailles some of most innovative recent projects on the issue of energy performance of homes.
Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 brings together 20 teams of students and researchers who demonstrate extraordinary creativity when it comes to the homes of our future. Both CECODHAS Housing Europe and its member, USH are official partners of this year's organisation. The French Social Union for Housing will exhibit in Versailles, as part of the side-events of the competition, additional innovative ideas for energy performance of housing.
The projects that will be presented evolve around three (3) main themes that have been selected:
- energetic autonomy of homes
- massive reduction in expenses thanks to these technical developments
- the "pedagogical" training of tenants and/or buyers within the framework of these projects
These themes echo the 6 basic criteria imposed on the 20 university teams competing, including density, mobility, simplicity, innovation, affordability and contextualization, 6 keywords that influence the daily activity of HLM organisations.
