Housing Europe celebrated its 30th anniversary along with its annual meetup for the conference and general assembly in Tallinn.

In a rather emotional ceremony at the House of the Blackheads in the Estonian capital Housing Europe members raised their glasses to 30 years of collaboration within the big European housing family, committing to address together the demanding challenges ahead. At the same time, Housing Europe bid farewell to David Orr, the Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation and one of the most passionate voices within our network for more than 28 years. David will be retiring towards the end of the year, which makes Tallinn his last Housing Europe meeting. Laurent Ghekiere delivered the 'a bientot' speech, since friends do not say goodbye and Housing Europe Secretary General, Sorcha Edwards gave David a gift on behalf of the whole organisation along with the best wishes of the team in Brussels, sharing also her memories after this long collaboration with David.

The special publication presenting the highlights from the organisation's history was also distributed to all participants, offering an occasion to browse through pictures from the past.

Of course, there was also cake to mark this important birthday... You may find below a photo selection from the evening.
