Who is the successor of Kurt Eliasson? When will he actually take over? All key information for the new era at SABO as well as a brief outline of Anders Nordstrand's priorities.

“Our objective was to recruit a CEO with real experience of the housing sector and with a genuine feeling for the special mandate of the public housing sector. I am thus very pleased that Anders Nordstrand has agreed to lead SABO. His previous work and manifest results are impressive,” says Leif Jakobsson, Chair of SABO.

Anders Nordstrand is currently CEO of the public housing company in the city of Västerås and will take up his position at SABO on August 22nd. SABO’s current CEO and former President of Housing Europe, Kurt Eliasson, who is leaving after almost ten years, will continue until Anders Nordstrand takes up his position.

”I do not wish to discuss any manifesto regarding my work for SABO at this stage. It is important for me to first meet the staff and member companies to familiarise myself with the work currently being carried out.

However, I note that SABO’s focus on new construction work is important. By far the most important activity at the present time is to produce housing that more people can afford.

The public housing sector serves an important role as community planner. This is demonstrated by the new construction and renovation work, management and social initiatives of our member companies,” comments Nordstrand.
