French Presidency of the Council of the EU is bringing housing ministers to Nice

An overview of the upcoming six months

Online, 16 January 2022 | Published in Urban, Economy, Social

Right at the start of its six-month Council Presidency, France announced its decision to reconnect the 27 EU housing ministers on the 7th and 8th of March in Nice to discuss the European challenges of a burning issue which is a national and regional competence - the access to decent and affordable housing.

The last time EU housing leaders met in this format was nearly a decade ago, in 2013. During the preparatory meeting on 27th January, Housing Europe was the only EU network to be granted an observer status, allowing our President, Bent Madsen to share key points from the sector. While being in full preparation for the quality exchange in March, we have put together the key dates you should note down in your calendars.
