Housing Europe in Prague at the housing focal points meeting between EU Member States

On November 9, Housing Europe's Secretary General and Policy Director were at the Czech Ministry of Regional Development to present a report commissioned to our Observatory by the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The paper is looking at some of the most pressing questions in front of the housing sector and decision makers in Europe at the moment.

Trends in affordable housing in the EU countries, including the demand for affordable housing and good practice;

Regulation of public aid and its possible reforms to speed up public investments in affordable housing;

New financial instruments as part of the solution - a combination of the public and private capital for the investments in affordable rental housing;

Lesson from the Syrian refugee crisis that can be applied to the current Ukrainian crisis when it comes to accommodation.
