One of the four Plus Energy Neighbourhood demos of our EU-funded project syn.ikia is near Den Bosch in the Netherlands and so far, this is the most advanced as future social housing tenants will be able to move in already in May 2022.

On February 17th, 2022 the 13th edition of the Housing Day (Wohnungsbau-Tag) took place in Berlin. Representatives of the construction and housing industry, as well as top politicians, discussed current figures, facts, data, trends, and prospects of the German housing market. Seven leading associations and organisations of Germany's construction and housing industry that form an alliance of associations organised the event.

Housing Europe’s Policy Director, Julien Dijol took part in the Europe Housing Forum side event REELIH Regional Conference II organised by Habitat for Humanity International on the 17th of November during the event on ‘Community mobilization: practices in the social housing sector’. His presentation focused on two aspects: a new way of tackling energy poverty that could be scaled up in the Eastern European regions as well as the relevant example of the Horizon 2020 POWERPOOR project which aims at raising awareness on what energy poverty means and what can be done to alleviate it.
